under the sun

distantheartbeats:

I haven’t read this book in at least five years, probably six. It’s an old favourite, and my original hardback got borrowed/pressed on more than twenty people who read it, which led to my library ordering in five copies, and our local bookstores stocking it for the first time. Eventually it got lost (I know exactly who has it, but she says she doesn’t, and we haven’t spoken in years), so when I found this beautiful new hardback marked down, I indulged. I miss the characters and the book so I thought I’d revisit it. I don’t know how much I’ll be reading it, because I’ll have an awful lot of work in the coming weeks, but I’m sure I’ll take breaks for it.
